Miss A.R.Nihimiya passed as Engineering Graduate in first class from the Peradeniya campus at the recently held final exam. She is the first Muslim girl who has passed as Engineer from the Eastern province. Now serving as Assistant Lecturer in the Peradeniya campus, she received her primary education at the Al-Hira School in Kathankudy and her secondary and higher education at the Bandarawela Tamil Maha Vidyalam.
